![]() Strategic Tourism Directions PlanPeel Tourism Association (PTA) was formed to develop a cohesive Strategic Tourism Direction. Peel Tourism Association is the unifying body of tourism stakeholders within the Peel Region. Peel Tourism Committee is an elected group of six Chamber of Commerce & Industry members consisting of a balanced representation of hospitality and tourism businesses chaired by an Executive Committee member of the Peel Chamber of Commerce & Industry. With ex-officio, non-executive members (one each) from PDC, and representation from each Shire/City in the Peel Region, Experience Perth and Tourism WA, Peel Tourism is a strong body of experienced industry stakeholders. Peel Tourism meets regularly (every 3 weeks) and holds quarterly extended meetings with all members to keep them informed of the progress of marketing initiatives and to action key performance indicators and analyse outcomes. Peel Tourism Association regularly updates its member database with emailed newsletter-style information. Peel Tourism Association is active in the media with recent input on behalf of members for the Recreational Fishing Licences, the Freeway Bypass, the disruption to the Mandurah Train Line, Retail Trading Hours, the City Centre Precinct, and the Crab Fest. Our Specialty Committee ‘Peel Tourism’ reinforces the great benefit to be achieved when individuals work together as a region to showcase and strategically market to increase the visitation to the entire region and to maximize customer spend.
