Important Notice: Beware of Hoax Emails!

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you about a concerning issue that has recently surfaced again.

It has come to our attention that some members have received hoax emails falsely claiming to offer the Peel Chamber's Database in exchange for funds. We want to assure you that these emails are not legitimate and should be treated as spam.

Please be reminded that the Peel Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. does not sell member data to any third parties. Furthermore, all members are entitled to access the Peel CCI Directory for free.

The email in question, purportedly sent by Melissa, is a prime example of this hoax. If you have received such an email, we urge you to block the sender immediately and delete the message without opening any attachments.

We suspect that these individuals are obtaining email addresses by scraping them from our public online business directory. While we are actively working to address this issue, we advise caution when sharing personal information online.

If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of an email or its attachments, please refrain from opening them and consult your IT personnel or reach out to us directly for assistance.
